Next year, France will travel to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.  When they go there they will remain under the direction of Raymond Domenech.  Domenech’s fate will rest almost exclusively on the French side’s performance in South Africa.  Most of the discontent comes from Guy Chambily, who still seeks a vote on Domenech’s position as coach.  Despite the in-fighting Les Bleus  will not get a new head coach before the world’s most watched sporting event.  It’d be hard to demote Domenech as he got the squad into the World Cup, which was his main goal.  Of course, it is clear that he will stay or go based on the French performance in Group A and the rest of the cup.
